Easter week is one of the most important and attended periods of Cuglieri’s community and
not only.
After years of being cancelled because of Covid, we finally return to normality!
Here is the calendar of the procession that unravel through the streets of the historical
center, accompanied by sacred chants “a cuncordu“.
Thursday, April 14 at 7 pm at the Basilic, Mass and Washing of the feet.
Friday, April 15 at 8 pm at the Convent, “S’incravamentu”;
11 am: Procession of the Penitent with the Cross (“Contrarughe”)
12 am: Procession with Christ on the Cross, sermon and Raising of the Cross
6 pm: Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion at the Basilic
7:30 pm: Procession of the “Lettiga”; Sermon, “S’Iscravamentu and procession with the dead
Christ.
Saturday, April 16, at 8:30 am in Via Crucis delle confraternite
11 pm: Easter Vigil
Sunday April 17 at 10:30 am in Santa Croce, Procession to the basilic with the risen Christ
and Our Lady
11 am: Easter Mass the the Basilic
